LOL! What a variety, eh?
I wish I could figure out the dimensions on it...

Room Done
Sorry, no pics of it though.
We finished his room and promise to show you the completely final project soon. The reason I cannot show you now? Well, we started on our room now and filled his room with boxes and stuff. Aren't we rotten?! LOL! We are changing our master bedroom so that we can be next to him. Things were progressing well and now Mark is busy with other stuff, so there is a slight delay. Of course, I am so ready for him to go into overdrive and get it done, but he has a lot going on too. It will be done before Aidan is born.
BABY UPDATE
Yesterday started my 2 day a week NST and NST with AFI. Translation: I/we have to get non stress tests twice a week and one of those I get with an ultra sound to check amniotic fluid and baby's growth. This is due to my history of high blood pressure.
At my hospital's U/S department, they now have two or three 3D machines. You cannot request them and are a complete crap shoot to get one. This must have been going on my 5th or 6th U/S and I wasn't about to get my hopes up. BUT--I GOT IT!!!!! I was SOOO excited!!! The tech said that she'd hope that baby would be cooperative to get me a good pic since I was so happy. Well, as you can see from the pic, he was somewhat cooperative!!!! I think he is ADORABLE!
Don't be alarmed. Aidan's arms are not deformed. It is just the way the imaging came out. They are perfectly fine. Also his umbilical cord is resting on his chin, which I was worried about, but the tech said was fine.
According to everything with the AFI and NST: He is measuring ahead of schedule and is already estimated at 4 lbs 14 ozs (as of LAST Monday)! The tech said that I could be giving birth to a big baby. She told me that he was in the 87% percentile!! My due date is still the same though. I also know that these are estimates too...
His new thing now? Hiccups! He has had them almost everyday!!! The U/S department said that is a great thing because it means he is "practicing" his breathing!
I cannot wait to meet my little guy.

Newest Picture
I am so sorry that it takes soo long to write here.
So.friggin.busy!!
Anyhoo, here are my newest pic of the little guy! Taken September 23rd:
Yes, he is THE cutest baby.EVER.
Also, after a long discussion, Mark and I THINK we are naming him Aidan. I don't really give a hoot if there are a lot in his class. He will only be in school for a fraction of his life anyway.
Mark has been working his butt off on the house. We are just about done with his room and will post pictures soon. I will try not to wait a month this time.
I am already getting excited for the impending baby shower. My wonderful sister and good friends are going to be organizing it. It will be the weekend after Christmas. Um, I guess that means we need to register ASAP! Woo hooo!!!
I have been feeling a lot of movement. He is so active! Some days he is active in the morning and other days, it is late at night. Just like his mom...

It's a..
..BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!
We had another ultrasound and got the same tech and I was ready and waiting for her to further confirm that we were indeed having a girl.
But she said we are having a boy and that apparently he wasn't as excited at the last appointment! LOL! He was on his head for most of the session and at one point, his knees were on his forehead!
I will post pics soon. We are having another one in a week and a half (need some more measurements that we could not get) and hoping those pics come out better.
We are so happy! Mark is the only son and one of the few men in the C family who got married. This child will carry on his name.
I have been feeling what I think is movement. I am a woman of excess gas anyway (sorry for the TMI) so sometimes I figure that a flutter was a gas bubble. I am pretty sure it is him though. I ate a cupcake the other day and totally felt multiple fluttering soon after I inhaled it. I guess my little man loves his sugar!
Now...for names. We haven't a clue! We had the girl name all ready.
Mark does not want a junior. So now we must think of some names. So far we have thought of Quinn, Jake, Aidan and Jeremy. I like Max, but Mark does not. :(
Aidan and Jake are extremely popular names and I can bet that if we would name him one of those, he would be one of so many.
Lots to think about and time to do so. But knowing me--we will bring him home and change it.
My poor pup was Allegra for a week or two before I changed it to Lucy!! I had always loved that name. It is Italian for happy. Well, I seemed to have forgotten that it is something else to most people. Friends and family were asking, "Why did you name your dog after an allergy pill??"
I am a Gemini so anything is possible...
My dear friend, Kate, had her beautiful son, Gideon this week. Sooo cute!! Congratulations honey!!

Ultrasound today!!
We had our first ultrasound today. It went perfect!!! We heard that beautiful heartbeat and saw our beautiful baby!!!
In all my excitement, I forgot to get the height, but they said all measurements were great and the chances of any birth defects or Down's were very minimal. I had blood work done that will go with the ultrasound findings. We will get a call in about 2 days. This will give us an idea of the odds of the baby having Down's Syndrome or other issues. The doctor stated it is already a low, low chance. The blood work should confirm that further.
The heartbeat was 163 beats per minute!! The baby also was active and seen doing headstands!!! LOL!! Very active!!
Our wonderful tech stated that we could have an early idea of gender. I was dumbfounded as I have never heard of detecting it this early.
Anyhoo, she told us not to bank on it of course because it is so early and hold onto receipts if we buy baby things (lol), but she thinks it could be a GIRL!!!!!!!!!! We were kind of hoping for this as we are naming a girl after his wonderful, never married, never had kids, sweet, loving 94 year old Aunt Lilly.
Pretty cute considering she is only the size of a lime!
No matter the gender, we are so overjoyed with the wonderful miracle!

2nd OB appointment
Quick overview of appointment 1. We talked with nurse and OB, did a ton of blood work and they ordered a 24 hour urine for me. I have high blood pressure and could develop preeclampsia. I am not to gain any more than 15 pounds for the whole pregnancy as I am already overweight. We are due February 1st 2009.
Yesterday we had appointment 2. All blood work and urine is normal! YAY! No further weight gain! YAY!
Our doctor got out her Doppler to listen for the heartbeat. After about 3 minutes of moving the device around, there was nothing. We were told not to fear as it is hard to find this early (I am 11 weeks) and with my excessive weight.
We have an ultrasound on Tuesday. We HAVE to see the heartbeat.
Dear Peanut:Please show us your happy, healthy self! Show us that beautiful beating heart!
If I can, I will post a picture and share details.
Prayers and vibes are requested please. Thank you.

Life can change-JUST LIKE THAT!
After over a year of trying to conceive, getting a wrong diagnosis (which is why we needed to see someone else), and seeing a specialist (who gave me a clean bill of health for TTC), Mark & I are expecting!!!!!! We were going to try natural for 2 months before trying IUI, but we successfully became pregnant!
Two glorious, positive Clearblue Easy tests on Memorial Day told us the great news! We are sooo excited! Instead of being sensible and waiting till we are out of the 1st trimester danger, I spilled to almost everyone! I just could not help it. We have been waiting for this for so long. What a great early birthday present! So far so good. Today, I am about 6 weeks along (Baby C is actually 4 weeks along). So, a lot can still happen in the next 6, but I just have a great feeling about this. Daily prayers from us and those around us are working wonders. Mark had a deer-in-headlights reaction at first, even though we were actively trying. From what I am hearing, that reaction is quite normal. He immediately started worrying about our financial situation--which is pretty bad. We are in a heap of debt. A couple of days later, he started getting excited too. I hit up Barnes and Noble and bought the very recommended Pregnancy-Week by Week (Thanks to my Nesties and new dad, Eric for the rec) and also got The Expectant Father for Mark. Oh and I also borrowed Financial Peace Revisited by Dave Ramsey from a friend of mine. So I immediately start reading the Pregnancy book. It was so interesting to hear about all the physical changes that were happening -and are going to. Mark started reading his daddy book. Then he picked up Dave Ramsey and has not put the thing down. In fact, he finished it within a week. For what it is worth, he is reading the baby book in real-time. I had mentioned looking into the Dave Ramsey method for quite some time but his stubborn Italian butt didn't want to hear it as he said "I can figure out our debt solution on my own". Well, I have created a "monster". Mark has always been extremely type A when it comes to tracking our debt. He has this elaborate, cross-referenced, multi-colored, multi-tabbed Excel spreadsheet to track our bills, monthly goals and spending that would require a class to figure out. Well, now that he is a Dave Ramsey believer, he has revamped them. He also has been photocopying all the worksheets in the book. Now, after all this, my butt needs to actually read it. I have only read the parts about the debt snowball. Wow, how life has changed!

New Name, New Blog
I hated my unoriginal name to my other blog, so here is my new one.
I came up with this credo many many moons ago. So if anyone else is using it, ya stole it from me!
